The “coolest” travel gift.
An excerpt from the San Francisco Chronicle’s Gear column:
The question is as soul-stirring, hotly contested and universal as the chicken or the egg, Darwin versus intelligent design, Connery versus Moore, chunky versus creamy.
What do travelers love more: travel or all the cool stuff to buy that goes with it?
We’re pretty sure we know the answer, but being that the money spent on travel-related gear, clothing, gadgets, apps, guides and gewgaws would easily dwarf the GNP of several South American countries, we’re hedging our bets that some of you would happily stay home so long as there’s a safari pith helmet with solar-powered fan under the tree. sanfranciscochronicle

When a lipstick can run $30, keeping toiletries cool is worth the effort. The Cool-it Caddy, a small clutch bag that you chill then fill, can be used for hours without “product meltdown.” It comes in several styles including a man’s version which looks like a shaving kit and bright canvas Icepops bags in Lime, Raspberry, Tangerine and Blueberry for beach trips. It’s roomy enough also to fit chilled snacks and perishable medications. Taking a snack on the airplane just got “cooler”. coolitcaddy
